With friends like that

"Elise, I'm not going to wear Moonboots in April!"
Elise looked at her with a glint of mischief in her eyes. "They're the only shoes I'll help you in, and you're not able to put on your own shoes. So it's going to be Moonboots or nothing, I think."
Sophie shot her a dark look, but Elise just smiled and waited.
"You're a bitch, you know that," Sophie said while she slipped her first foot inside the Moonboot.
"And you're cute when you're angry," Elise answered.

Ella and Lisbeth

I carefully put up Lisbeth's sweatshirt hood and the inner jacket's hood. I zipped up her jacket and pulled the drawstrings of her hood tight. I did everything up just like it had been before, including the knot in her neck. I put up the second hood and made sure it covered the inner one nicely. When she was completely wrapped up again, I took her arm.
"Now we can go."

Revenge

She hadn't put the jacket on yet, and neither had she taken off the one she was wearing. In fact, she had put her hood up - except it wasn't the hood of her jacket, but the hood of a black jacket that she was apparently wearing under the light blue one. That explained the thickness of her jacket, and especially of the hood that had looked so large. Now she put the hood of her light blue jacket up as well. Meanwhile, Claudia had taken her phone and started filming Lynn, who clearly had no idea she was being watched.

BFF: The Newest Fashion Trend

And what about the 'restrictions' of a BFF coat? "Yes, these clothes all have ways to make you dependant on others, that's why they bought it for me of course," Marissa laughs. "This mantle for example has zippers that start in the armpits and go down all the way to your wrists. When those are fully zipped up, your arms are kept by your side so you're pretty helpless. The sleeves are also long enough to cover your fingers completely and can also be closed with zips. As you see, they wasted no time doing them all up." Marissa wriggles her arms while she says that, and it's clear that her arms are indeed securely kept by her sides.

Dear Sarah

This was all right after he came home, so he was still wearing his coat - a very thick black down jacket which he bought last week. As I told you in another email, I thought it was a bit silly to buy that as he has another black down jacket that still seems fine to me, but I didn't care much. But now it had made me come up with an idea. So I told him to take off his jacket, and then handed him the old one to put on. He was all "why" but I quickly shut him up with my angry look. I had him zip it up all the way, then handed him his new jacket and made him put that on and also zip it up completely.

The strange setup

While I climb out of the swimming pool, I’m already looking forward to wrapping up warmly soon. My nice down coat, with the thick hood tied tightly over my sweatshirt hood… I head to the locker and open it – but then I’m in for a shock.
In front is my towel, but that’s the only thing that hasn’t changed since I left. Next to the towel is a pair of enormous Moonboots. They are blue, like the pair I own, but much bigger than those. How did those get here? And behind the Moonboots there’s a huge pile of black down-filled nylon. I stare at the locker in confusion for an entire minute, but I can’t come up with any explanation for this.

The Watcher

From the cafe I can see the athletics track. There was nothing special going on there; just a few people running rounds. The athletics track can be used freely, but of course on a cold, windy and slightly wet November day, as it was then, there weren't many people. Still, there were a couple of people running, but what drew my attention was a person who stood at the side, watching them. That was odd, considering it must have been quite dull, but I was even more fascinated by her clothes. The person standing there was dressed in red Moonboots, what appeared to be white nylon trousers, and a shiny black down jacket. The down jacket came down to her - I assumed she was female, because of her clothes - knees, and the hood was up and tied very tight. In front of her eyes a bunch of white fur was pulled closely together. Although it was hard to say for sure, as I only saw her from the side and at a distance, I guessed she couldn't see a lot.

My life changed

Although the day was bright and sunny, she made me wear my hood the whole time, even while inside the shops. I only got to take it off when trying on another sweatshirt - of which I then had to put the hood up immediately, every time. After we had acquired enough sweatshirts, Cyrilla said I needed a proper raincoat as well. Eventually she found something to her liking (but not mine!): a raincoat, rain pants, and rubber boots, all in bright yellow. She made me put everything on right there, and put the hood up and tie it, of course. When I had everything on, she walked me over to a mirror and said, again in her horribly sweet voice: "Don't you look nice in that, dear? You'll be so well protected from the rain. From now on, you'll get to wear this outfit on every rainy day, Nina. And you'll get to keep it on the whole day. Because every time I tell you what to wear, you stay like that the whole day. Every break, every time you're outside. So even if it's not raining, if I tell you to wear your rainclothes, you'll wear them the whole day. Understood, missy?"

Raissa's Quest

On the bed was a large, black, overfilled down sleeping bag. Tight chains held the sleeping bag immobile on the bed. She rushed over and saw that they were locked in place. The hood of the sleeping bag was tightened and locked as well, but there was still enough of an opening to see the closed, red hood of Francesca's new Glosssuit inside. A faint "Mmf! Mmf!" could be heard inside the hood, but the bag was so tight and thick that no movement could be seen on the outside. "Francesca! What have you done now?" Raissa exclaimed, but then she immediately realized she was being stupid. Of course Francesca hadn't chained herself to the bed, that was impossible. But then who had?

The Silver Dream

"Oh, you are wearing two coats," the assistant exclaims, "that's quite smart actually, with the freezing cold outside. And when you came in, I saw you wearing the hoods all up. With the sweatshirt hood as well, that makes three hoods. I guess they kept you warm and snug, didn't they?" I blush, I wish she didn't talk about my clothes like that, although she says it all in a friendly way, not mocking. I do wish she didn't talk so loud, though. I try not to let my embarrassment show too much and say: "Yes, they did." Meanwhile I take off the black down jacket as well. The shop assistant takes both jackets and hangs them over the rack.

Experiment 91

"I'm getting to that. For my research I need a test subject. This person would be dressed the same way for five months. Because it has to be scientifically correct, we cannot allow a single deviation from the prescribed clothing, even for one day. Every week we will then do a check-up to see how the body responds to that, and you'll have to fill in a short questionnaire. And as the test subject I thought of you, Sophie. Because you don't have a job, you are free to perform the experiment for us. Also, there's a nice financial aspect to this. At the end of the five months, you'll receive 1500€ for your troubles. And all you have to for that is wear what give you, follow our rules, and come to us for a weekly check-up. What do you think?"

Doctor's Advice

Five minutes later, she was back with Sandra. “The doctor will come in an hour or so. Meanwhile, you should rest, and I think with the fever it’s best if we keep you warm.” She placed a thick down sleeping bag on the sofa. Soon Sandra was zipped into it. She protested weakly when Myriam tied the hood tightly, leaving only a small gap around her nose. To make sure Sandra didn’t open the bag or the hood, Myriam tied the hood drawstring to the zipper, then tied the cords behind her neck where she couldn’t reach them. “There now, just sleep a bit until the doctor comes. I’ll come and give you some water every now and then.”

The Dropping

The dropping would start at 8 pm, and Susie had to take a twenty-five minute walk into account. Remembering Katarina's advice, Susie wanted to take her time to consider what she would wear, so at 7 pm she started to get dressed. "When in doubt, err towards warmer clothes," Katarina had said. "You can always take something off, but you can't summon another jacket if you need it!" Susie saw the truth in those words, so she made sure to wear enough layers. First she put on thick socks, leggings and a jogging hose. Now she needed a warm sweatshirt. She found her two warmest hooded sweatshirts and debated for a moment which one she was going to wear. She decided to play it safe and put both on. Then she put her jacket on: a trendy black down jacket which usually kept her warm enough in the winter

A long day

And then he discovered something else. The jacket had big mittens attached. He took one to inspect it closer. It was sewn on the sleeve. There was no way to remove them. Not understanding the point of that, he turned to Lisa.

“Great, isn’t it? I had those attached specially. So you won’t have cold hands. And you can’t lose them. I know how careless you are with those things, so just for you, I asked them to attach the mittens to the coat. I thought of everything, didn’t I? Come on, try it on, I want to see you in it.”

A very brief explanation of my blog

  1. Hi Kuomu, I have seen your postings at Anastasias Blog - but I have no account to post there - so I will to it here:

I am more interested in women wearing wool (Sweaters turtlenecks, knitted pants etc, but love warm dessed women in General. So two weeks ago I have seen two women in Paris, it was cloudy in the morning with light rain, but the sun just came through the Clouds at lunchtime and the temperature got up quickly. Both seemed to be waiting on the sidewalk standing in the sunshine, and one of her was wearing an anklelengh thick down coat in brown/gold closed up to tis high and tight collar, and the other one had a trench coat but an turtleneck that covered the head scarf below. Both were Muslima, and maybe from contries, where the upcomming heat of the day ahd the high humidity after the rain was nothing special. (it had 25° Celsius in the Shadow - but there was no Shadow). I was wearing a T-Shirt and light trousers, but was sweating in the sun - and I wondered WHY they both did not try to find some some cooler place to stand and talk. Had they to wait exactly there, in the sun for any urpose? And if so, what for? Regards, Mr.George
